The more incarnations I document, the more skins and layers I shed.
Having a twin brother gave me the understanding that the body can be manipulated in order to serve several purposes representation. The facade is a purpose as well as a result.
While I could affiliate myself with the Character Culture movement, I find my investigation continually manipulates notions of beauty, addressing notions of gender and fashion, but also architectural notions of the facade, the location of the body in a position.
The transgression of the face is my comment: it is a new visual relationship between the viewer and the artist. My performances, characters and incarnations are all marked by their predecessor and inform future potentials.
In quoting Peter Cook (architect 1936-) "There is unending parallels between the use of human cosmetics and the cultural development of the facade."
