PORTFOLIO > 10 after 11

With Descartes, the body is reduced to a machine, a clock.

Here, viewers are invited to perform a test capable of assessing functional neuropsychiatric status by drawing on a sheet of paper the clock face of the analog "10 After 11" hands' position.

When young children learn to read the clock, they learn to read an instrument and the conceptual distinctions upon which it relies. The clock-drawing test helps screening cognitive impairment and dementia and is also a measure of spatial dysfunction and neglect.

This exercise proposes an understanding of how drawing shapes objects, experiences and social concepts.
